Reading Logs

We have to keep track of the books our students read in my school for our Million Words Campaign. In Intervention we tend to read a lot of books and I needed a way to keep it organized for each student.
I created an easy to use log to help my students keep track. My school track words/pages read for the older students and counts only the amount of books read for the younger grades, so I wanted to offer 2 different options for different grade levels. Each month features thematic clipart that ties into that month!

The first version features 20 lines, with spaces for:

• date

• title
• author
The second version features 20 lines, with spaces for:

• date

• title
• author
• pages

  1. Oooh these are so cute! We do the Millionaires Thing too- and at the end of the year they have a "millionaires party" for all of those who have fulfilled the requirements. At the moment they just write it at the bottom of their diary each day and it's messy and you can't see full books that they've read... they could be reading from a different book each night for all we know and not actually completing anything- this would be a brilliant way of keeping track of the books they actually finish throughout the year- and it's so pretty they'd be more likely to keep it neat haha! My kids are 10-11 so would definitely love the one with 20 lines :)

  2. These look great! We don't do the Millionaires, but our school has a 25 Book Challenge. Our state would like to see 6th graders read 25 books in a year. Our team counts 100 pages as a book.
I'd love to have my kids use these to track their own data about books, genres etc.

  4. These are so cute! We don't do anything school wide. I keep track of students' reading in my classroom. It would be a good idea to do something school wide like your million words campaign. I'd be interested in the 20-lines templates.

  6. These look so cute! I have no idea yet if our new school has a school-wide program for reading, but I like to keep track in my own classroom and help kids set goals with a log.
